Daniel (Dan) Lavender
Daniel (Dan) Lavender is Chief Executive Officer of Moorings Park Institute, Inc. The recipient of a Master’s in Business Administration degree from Ohio University, an Ohio Certified Public Accountant license, and a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Economics from Bluffton College, he has spent the majority of his career serving seniors. Earlier, he was Chief Financial Officer for Methodist ElderCare Services in Columbus, Ohio, helping to guide it through a period of strategic growth and improving financial performance. Previous assignments included regional and division leadership roles at Ohio Presbyterian Retirement Services, one of the 15 largest multi-site non-profit senior living organizations in the country. Dan assumed the full responsibilities of Chief Executive Officer on October 1, 2009, and has been with Moorings Park since 2006.
Kent McRae
Kent McRae has served as Chief Operating Officer of Moorings Park Institute, Inc. since October, 2005. His career in the healthcare field has been spent in the nursing home and continuing care retirement community areas, focusing on community planning, design and expansion. A graduate of the University of Arkansas-Monticello and Miami University (Ohio) with a Master in Gerontology, and he was president and executive director of Inverness Village in Tulsa, OK, taking it through a very successful start up phase. Prior to that, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Otterbein Homes, a not-for-profit provider of continuing care communities throughout Ohio; Executive Director of Trinity Village in Arkansas; and Senior Administrator of Leisure Lodge Nursing Home, also in Arkansas.
Steve Brinkert
Steve retired following a 27 year career with NYNEX, Bell Atlantic and Verizon. He has held senior level positions in Customer Services, Regulatory, Sales, and Operations in the New England, Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions. After relocating from Boston to Naples, he has been employed by the Ritz-Carlton Corporation in the Rooms and Leisure Activities division. He has been an active member of community and professional organizations including the United Way and the Massachusetts Bar Association. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of Wyndemere Country Club.
Steve graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst (BA), the New England School of Law (JD), and Northeastern University (MBA). His education also includes advanced studies in Labor Relations (Cornell) and Marketing (Wharton and INSEAD). His wife Helen is a practicing RN and he has three sons, Jeff, Jimmy and Mark.
Steve joined the Moorings Park Executive Team as Vice President of Resident Services on July 6, 2010.
