Platinum Membership Program Unveiled at Moorings Park

October 13, 2013

Moorings Park announced the availability of a new Platinum Membership Program designed to provide seniors an opportunity to sample the Continuing Care Retirement Community’s amenities and services before committing to residency. The Platinum Membership is available for a one-time-only membership fee plus a monthly charge. The membership fee can be applied directly to residency entrance fees at Moorings Park’s 83-acre Goodlette-Frank Road campus or at the 96-residence Moorings Park at Grey Oaks campus being built at the corner of Golden Gate Parkway and Airport-Pulling Road adjacent to Estuary at Grey Oaks once the decision to move into Moorings Park is made.

Moorings Park is a nationally accredited, nonprofit, Medicare certified community and the only A+ S&P and Fitch rated Continuing Care Retirement Community in the country. Moorings Park’s holistic approach to living well and continuum of care are provided with no increase in monthly fees if a change in the level of care is required.

“For retirees, quality of life is determined by many things, most notably the freedom to enjoy an active lifestyle and the security of knowing their long-term needs will be met,” said Moorings Park Chief Executive Officer Dan Lavender. “We feel it is important for seniors to have the opportunity to sample Moorings Park’s high-quality continuum of care and lifestyle programs, particularly those who already have an appreciation for whatMoorings Park offers and are looking forward to making it their future home. The Platinum Membership has been designed to provide that opportunity.”

The Platinum Membership includes access to the wellness services at The Center for Healthy Living at Moorings Park’s Goodlette-Frank Road campus. On-site primary care physician services are provided to members through Moorings Park’s Primary Care Program that provides personalized health care based on a model akin to a traditional family practice. The program is available to Platinum members with no additional charges, other than typical co-pays. Third-party billing to Medicare will occur for services when appropriate.

Members may also choose to participate in Moorings Park’s enhanced health care program called Primary Care Plus that is available for an additional fee. This expanded program offers all of the benefits of the Primary Care Program as well as a wide scope of special services which provide uniquely customized care for each participant. Medical Director Dr. F. Michael Gloth, a fellowship-trained Geriatrician, oversees the Primary Care Program and all medical services at Moorings Park.

Platinum members also receive a comprehensive geriatric assessment (CGA) by Moorings Park’s licensed professional Geriatric specialists. The evaluation encompasses medical, psychological and functional capabilities. In addition, the comprehensive geriatric assessment evaluates risk factors for functional decline and provides a plan to optimize functional well-being while putting together processes to facilitate achieving the goals outlined in the plan.

Moorings Park is at 120 Moorings Park Drive, just South of Pine Ridge Road off Goodlette-Frank Road in Naples. Online at www.MooringsPark.org.
