Moorings Park to Begin Clubhouse Expansion

October 29, 2016

Moorings Park will begin a significant enhancement and expansion of its clubhouse located at 120 Moorings Park Drive off Goodlette-Frank Road in North Naples this week. Slated for completion in late 2017, the project will increase the total square footage of the clubhouse by approximately 35 percent.

As planned, the enhancements will include a redesigned exterior arrival and entry sequence; a new light-filled lobby with a 24-foot high ceiling and a new concierge desk; the addition of the Park Grill, a destination style restaurant and lounge offering indoor and outdoor dining on a climate controlled covered patio; a new board room with enhanced acoustics, audio-visual capabilities, and lighting as well as an adjacent serving kitchen; and a conference center with seating for 14, access to the serving kitchen, and views of a shallow water feature at the front of the building.

The clubhouse enhancements are the latest indication of Moorings Park’s commitment to continuous improvement and to providing Simply the Best to its residents, including a continuum of care that features access to personalized healthcare 24 hours a day, seven days a week, lifestyle programs to suit a broad variety of interests and pursuits, a lushly landscaped setting with water features, and a wide array of amenities and activities.

As planned, the redesigned arrival sequence will provide residents and visitors with direct access to the new covered clubhouse entry that will lead to the two-story lobby. The front of the expanded building will reflect the addition of the Park Grill and the covered outdoor dining area on the south side and the addition of the conference center on the north side. To the right of the entry, a pool of water will surround an outdoor seating area anchored by a two-sided fireplace. A second shallow water feature will be to the left of the entry and offer a view of the conference center.

As planned, the lobby will feature tall windows that will flood the space with natural light during the day. The lobby will glow at night with a tiered chandelier and cove lighting. The lobby will provide direct access to Park Grill and the conference center. The new concierge desk will be in direct view to welcome residents and guests. The lobby flooring will showcase a custom inlaid design of interlaced circles. A rich palette of silver-toned grays, deep goldenrod, and a range of blue tones, accent patterned wall coverings, artwork, live plants, streamlined architectural moldings and columns accented with stained walnut trim, and seating groups will provide an inviting ambiance.

The Park Grill is designed to offer Moorings Park’s residents, family members, and guests a new gathering place and dining experience. The use of natural materials such as stone and light, slightly rustic wood flooring, a bamboo wood ceiling, light colored shiplap paneled walls, open light spaces decorated with green plants, a vertical garden, floor-to-ceiling windows offering views of palm trees outside, and leather and linen-look seating will contribute to the space’s relaxed, casual feeling. The inside will provide seating for 122, including the lounge that will offer a full bar, craft beers, and wine and will be equipped with a television, fireplace, and comfortable seating. Lite fare can be enjoyed in the Park Grill lounge throughout the day. The 32-seat covered and climate controlled patio will offer year-round outdoor dining.

As planned, the open-kitchen concept Park Grill will offer diverse dining selections ranging from center of the plate grill items, fresh Asian wok dishes, brick oven pizza, pasta, and salads. The menu will rotate constantly while remaining focused on providing selections that are fresh, local, healthy, and fast. Residents desiring a delicious meal before attending cultural events such as a concert at the Bower Chapel or a performance at Artis-Naples will enjoy the Park Grill’s commitment to prompt and highly professional service.

As planned, the new board room will offer an enlarged space with a large, horseshoe-shaped table that will improve communication during meetings as well as the visibility of the digital media display. A built-in serving credenza will enhance hospitality services from the adjacent kitchen. The new conference center will also feature a media display and serving credenza while showcasing a walnut wood ceiling inset.

The expanded clubhouse will join numerous amenities that contribute to Moorings Park’s active lifestyle, including the Center for Healthy Living, the upscale Trio Restaurant, Korest Plaza, the Bower Chapel, Bailey’s Place Pet Park, the Petti Center, and the community’s Lyon Park that offers tennis and boccie ball courts and a pavilion. In response to a growing need within its constituency, Moorings Park opened the 16 suite Sally and Bob Fritz Lilac Memory Care Center within Orchid Terrace in 2015. Life Care residents at Moorings Park are eligible to receive memory care assistance at Orchid Terrace as part of their monthly fees while individuals from the greater-Naples area can receive services on an all-inclusive month-to-month private pay basis with no entrance fees.

Moorings Park’s Platinum and Diamond Membership programs are designed to provide those looking forward to making Moorings Park their future home an opportunity to experience the community’s on-site healthcare, social activities, and dining prior to committing to residency.

The Platinum Membership is suited to individuals and couples who are within one to two years of making their residency decision. Moorings Park is making its Diamond Membership Program available to individuals and couples who are in the early stages of finalizing their retirement plans. The Diamond Membership provides many, but not all, of the Platinum Membership’s benefits. Diamond members may upgrade to a Platinum Membership level that will guarantee their future residency at Moorings Park. Both the Platinum and Diamond Membership programs are available for a one-time membership fee plus a monthly charge. The membership fees can be applied to residency entrance fees at Moorings Park or at the Moorings Park at Grey Oaks campus once the decision to move into Moorings Park is made.

Moorings Park has been repeatedly acknowledged as Southwest Florida's premier retirement community for more than 30 years and is the only Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in the City of Naples. Moorings Park's holistic approach to living well and continuum of care are provided at a predictable cost with no increase in monthly fees if a change in the level of care is required.
