Recently, U.S. News & World Report released its list of the best nursing homes in the country. Among those making the prestigious list was The Chateau® at Moorings Park, a 106-bed facility which scored 5 out of 5 stars.
More than 15,000 nursing homes across the country were evaluated for the ranking. Of those, just slightly over 2,000 made the list by scoring between 4 to 5 stars. The Chateau at Moorings Park was the only facility in Collier County to score a perfect 5.
According to the report, less than 13 percent of the nation’s nursing homes received a best rating this year. That number is down by some 40 percent from last year due to an update in the performance methodology. U.S. News & World Report began publishing ratings of nursing homes in 2009.
The Chateau is nestled within the 83-acre campus of Moorings Park, located off Goodlette-Frank Road. It is a Medicare-Certified Skilled Nursing Facility that provides short term therapy, long term care and memory care services.
