Daniel (Dan) Lavender is Chief Executive Officer of Moorings Park Institute, Inc. The recipient of a Master's in Business Administration degree from Ohio University, an Ohio Certified Public Accountant license, and a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Economics from Bluffton College, he has spent the majority of his career serving seniors. Earlier, he was Chief Financial Officer for Methodist ElderCare Services in Columbus, Ohio, helping to guide it through a period of strategic growth and improving financial performance. Previous assignments included regional and division leadership roles at Ohio Presbyterian Retirement Services, one of the 15 largest multi-site non-profit senior living organizations in the country. Dan assumed the full responsibilities of Chief Executive Officer on October 1, 2009, and has been with Moorings Park since 2006.
Tom Mann is the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Moorings Park, Inc. A graduate of the University of Baltimore, Tom has enjoyed a career in senior living that has spanned nearly 30 years. His previous roles include serving as the Senior Vice President of Advertising for a national developer of life plan communities. He also started his own firm specializing in marketing and sales to seniors entitled TR Mann Consulting. Most recently, Tom served as a Principal and the Chief Marketing Innovation Officer for an advertising agency and consulting firm serving non-profit Life Plan communities around the country. In addition to his professional work experience, Tom has served on numerous boards including The Children’s House at Johns Hopkins and the International Council on Active Aging.
Diana L. Bailey is the Vice President of Clinical Services for Moorings Park, Inc. A recipient of a Master’s Degree in Business Administration in Healthcare Administration from the University of Phoenix, she also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from Michigan State University. As the VP of Clinical Services, Diana currently manages the nursing home, assisted living, home health, physicians clinic and therapy programs at Moorings Park. She has more than 20 years of experience in senior care having previously managed a senior care community in Harbor Springs, MI, before joining Moorings Park.
Mary Morton is Chief Financial Officer of The Moorings Park Institute, Incorporated. A graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, Mary earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Business Administration, focusing on accounting and finance. She is a licensed CPA in New York and Florida. Prior to joining Moorings Park in 2012, Mary served as Assurance Manager for a national public accounting firm where she performed audits, reviews and other assurance and attestation services for companies in a variety of industries across the country.
Ross Dickmann is the Vice President of Operations and Executive Director for Moorings Park. A retired United States Coast Guard veteran with 21 years of service, holding both command and executive officer level positions, Ross enjoys an operationally rich 20-year history leading premier retirement communities. Prior to joining Moorings Park, Ross served as Executive Director of five preeminent CCRC retirement communities located in Maryland, Virginia, Florida and Texas; three of which were new openings. His extensive hospitality experience and commitment to excellence create an above-and-beyond approach with every resident, family member and associate. As the Vice President of Operations and Executive Director, Ross will lead day-to-day operations at Moorings Park and provide additional supervision to Moorings Park at Grey Oaks.
Valerie Klan is the Vice President of Human Resources for Moorings Park and is responsible for the human resources needs of Moorings Park, Moorings Park at Grey Oaks, and Moorings Park Grande Lake. As an executive Human Resources professional, she has more than 25 years of experience working in the health care industry. In addition to her Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management and Services from Barry University, Valerie holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification, SHRM-SCP certification, person centered care coach certification, and is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM).
