A group of Naples baby boomers and seniors aren’t letting age get in their way. The sky is the limit for Moorings Park residents who suited up to reach new heights, proving that age is just a number.
Moorings Park Retirement Community member, Peter Gough said, “I just wanted to do it. I was in the Air Force, but I never got to jump. So, I thought I’d do it now. It happens so quickly. You’re looking around quickly, and then you roll upside down, and then you roll over again, so the clouds are above you. It’s just crazy.”
As for how it felt, Dennis Lilly explains, “It’s something different; I don’t believe I can describe it.”
Wanderlust, A Lust for Living
Fellow resident Dean Patenaude adds, “I think it says something about myself and my desire to have a full life all the way through. It’s a bigger thrill than I thought [it would be.]” That lust for life is why so many Moorings Park residents are participating in the community’s Wanderlust Program. Patenaude adds, “I’m very pleased to be at Moorings Park. It’s one of the best decisions my wife and I made nine years ago.”
Robert Sorenson, the Director of Wellness, said, “Just because you’re a certain age, group demographic shouldn’t mean that you should stop setting goals or doing what you can to move forward and achieve them.”
