Moorings Park’s Showcase of Homes Provides Rare Inside Look at Residents’ Homes

February 23, 2020

Moorings Park will hold a Showcase of Homes on Friday, February 28, at its 83-acre campus located off Goodlette-Frank Road, just south of Pine Ridge Road.

The Showcase of Homes affords participants the opportunity to preview a wide variety of residential choices at Moorings Park, ranging from two-bedroom homes to grand residences of over 5,000 square feet.

The tour is unique in the fact residents of the Life Plan Community, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, volunteer to open their private homes to the public for a better understanding of the community’s lifestyle and an exclusive perspective of Moorings Park’s livability.

Participants will also have an opportunity to tour Moorings Park’s Simply the Best® amenities and services, including The Center for Healthy Living, the upscale Trio Restaurant, the beautiful Bower Chapel and Korest Plaza, the Botanical and Butterfly Gardens, and Lyon Park.

Visitors will also be provided overviews of the Moorings Park at Grey Oaks campus, the new Moorings Park Grande Lake community, and Moorings Park’s Platinum and Diamond membership programs.

The Showcase of Homes tours take place at 9:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. Tour reservations must be made by calling 239-232-3903 no later than Wednesday, February 26. Reservations fill up quickly so early registration is advised.

A Warm Welcome

While visitors will see a wide range of residential choices, the Life Plan community’s amenities are also highly anticipated stops along the tour route.

The experience begins at Moorings Park’s Clubhouse, with a welcome and orientation in the auditorium, before being escorted to awaiting motorcoaches for the remainder of the tour.

Live Longer, Happier & Healthier

One of the tour stops will be The Center for Healthy Living, a 37,000-square-foot facility designed to help residents achieve the highest level of independence in their day-to-day activities within their home and community.

The integrated continuum of care provided at The Center for Healthy Living includes the state-of-the-art Sheffield Theater, a multi-functional space featuring tiered seating for up to 78 people and designed for watching feature films or listening to informative lectures.

The Rejuvenate Salon & Spa provides men’s and women’s services including hairstyling, facials, manicures and pedicures, massages and more.

The innovative Cardio/ Strength Area offers customized cardio and strength programming utilizing Kaiser equipment, while the Cognitive Zone features a variety of memory classes, as well as technology designed to stimulate the brain.

Also at The Center for Healthy Living is the Internet Café, with pre or post-workout healthy food items; and Outpatient Rehabilitation, with highly skilled, licensed Physical, Occupational and Speech therapists.

World-Class Amenities

Participants will also get a front-row seat Trio Restaurant, Korest Plaza and Bower Chapel, all located across the street from The Center for Healthy Living.

Trio Restaurant embodies three dining experiences wrapped into one space: a cozy fireplace room, elegant dining room with a fully stocked bar, and a refined wine room. Residents have the option of dining in the main dining room, private dining rooms, or on the outdoor waterfront patio.

With several spectacular water features and seating areas, Korest Plaza is an outdoor courtyard area, designed for quiet contemplation, conversations with friends, or a respite for those residents enjoying their daily walk around the campus.

At one end of Korest Plaza is the 230-seat Bower Chapel, which provides a non-denominational venue that enables residents to grow both mentally and spiritually. The Bower Chapel is an acoustically perfect venue that musicians from around the world delight to perform in.

Additional stops along the tour focus on Moorings Park’s incredible outdoor amenities and activities including Lyon Park which features Har-Tru tennis courts, putting and chipping greens, bocce ball courts and a pavilion. The community’s Botanical and Butterfly Gardens are also a colorful respite.
